Newbuildings Project Manager opportunity

Workplace: Kołobrzeg

Region Name: zachodniopomorskie

Polferries plan to begin ropax newbuilding programme soon.

We are looking for an experienced Newbuilding Project Manager for our newly established Newbuilding/ Conversions Team within the Technical Department. You will report directly to Technical Manager.

Primary working place will be Kołobrzeg, Poland  with travel expected.

As Newbuilding Project Manager, you will be single point of contact for the project and be responsible from the design phase, through implementation and execution to delivery. You will cover areas for newbuilding projects as well as conversions. You will have a close cooperation with design offices,
shipyards, suppliers and subcontractors.

Main areas of responsibility:

Project Evaluations
Specification and Contract evaluation
Project supervision and reporting, cooperation with the site team
Drawing approval process supervision
Workshop tests inspections
Sea Trials
Supporting Technical Department in daily operations
Supporting Sale and Purchase of vessels

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Site Manager with technical background and strong project management skills, as well as with documented experience within newbuilding and/or conversion projects. You should have minimum 5 years of technical experience from either Shipowner, Shipyard, Classification society or marine related business. Experience with LNG fueled vessels and/ or as ropax Technical Superintendent will be considered as an advantage. Good verbal and written knowledge of the English and the Polish language is essential.
